Messi will retire at Barca Says AC Milan's Galliani

by David on April 5, 2012

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani confessed his interest in signing Barcelona‘s Lionel Messi, but he is aware the player may never leave his current club.

Lionel Messi continued his phenomenal form this season by playing an integral part in knocking out AC Milan from the Champions League. Galliani told Mundo Deportivo that he has made contact with the Argentinean but remains unsuccesful in his attempts to convince Messi to move to Italy.

“I would give everything to sign Messi, but it is impossible, he is a symbol of Barca and after speaking with him, he told me he is very happy at the club.” he shared.

“I think he will retire at Barca.”

That they cannot get Messi does not mean that Galliani will not be snooping around the Camp Nou this summer as Milan are reported to be interested in signing Barcelona’s Seydou Keita.

“He could be a good addition to our team, but right now we are not thinking about signing anyone from Barca, we are only focused on the competitions we are involved in.” he said.
